This document should serve as a primary source of information about the wireless computer network in the buildings of the Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Kralove for all its users - employees, students and visitors.
Basic information
Information in these pages is related only to the wireless computer network administrated by the Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Kralove. It may not be valid in other places, even the institutions also incorporated into the EduRoam project. Specific information about network settings in each location participating in the EduRoam You can find on the web pages of these institutions - their complete list is available at http://www.eduroam.cz.
The EduRoam network is accessible for all employees and students of the Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Kralove. It is also available for the guests from other institutions, participating in the EduRoam project.
Signal coverage
Signal of the EduRoam network, provided by the Faculty of Medicine, covers these buildings in Hradec Kralove:
- Faculty of Medicine building in the Simkova Street
- Educational Center in the Faculty Hospital
- Student hostel Na kotli
- Student hostel Palachova
Prerequisites
Your computer (notebook) must be equipped with a wireless network adapter, supporting wireless standards 802.11b or 802.11g and the wireless encryption standard WPA. You will also need WPA supplicant software (included in Windows XP SP or better).
We strongly recommend frequently updated anti-virus software.
