The Faculty of Medicine has a long tradition of research with considerable activity.
The main scientific and research activities of the Faculty of Medicine are aimed at the following areas: cardiology and cardiac surgery, geriatrics and metabolism, gerontology, organ transplants, central nervous system, clinical immunology, oncology, and computer application.
Determined students can take part in research activities in all departments and clinics during their study. They are encouraged to present their research results at the Students´ Scientific Conference. In the last three years of study, the best students may have the opportunity for an experience in a hospital abroad.
