Endoscopy Unit Activities:

• working since 1994
• all GI endoscopy diagnostics (including enteroscopy, endosonography, ERCP, mother-baby) and therapeutic procedures (including EHL, ESWL, APC, internal drainage of pancreatic pseudocysts)
• abdominal ultrasonography (US-guided procedures)
• endosonography, EUS-FNAB
• X-ray guided percutaneous procedures (PTD, percutaneous choledochoscopy, drainage of absesses, pseudocyst)
• pH monitoring, manometry, electrogastrography
• ¹³C based breath tests
• home total enteral nutrition in GI patients

Clinical Practice in Endoscopy Unit

• psychological approach to a patient, informed consent
• computer data and image processing
• risk patient identification (ECG monitoring)
• pulse oxymetry
• continuous venous access

• conscious analgosedation
• clinical monitoring of the patient by an experienced nurse during endoscopy
