Trainings and support in internationalization for HEIs
Dear Sir or Madam,
The past months, which have been marked by the unfortunate COVID-related lockdowns and a rapid transition to an online mode have put immense pressure on everyone. In this situation, we at the Institute for Excellence in Internationalization (IEI) Project of Palacký University Olomouc, would like to offer our support related to your internationalization efforts.
Our professional trainings and consultancies are inspired by the conversations and feedback from the participants in our Strategic Leadership Symposium on Internationalization of Higher Education Institutions in the Czech Republic, which took place virtually on January 27-28, 2021, and are aimed to help institutions advance the National Strategy of Internationalization 2021+. The recordings of the Symposium are available on our website at: iei.upol.cz
We prepared our online trainings to address internationalization issues within the Czech and Central European context, while incorporating the long-term Czech and international experience of our team experts, also featuring leading European and North American guest speakers.
We invite your academics and international officers to join us for our current trainings:
- Academy for International Officers: Creating an International Campus
This intensive professional development program for IRO staff will help you provide better services to international students and academics, broaden your Internationalization at Home activities, and create more internationally friendly institutional environments. Format: to be held April through June 2021 as a 6-part course, plus one-day retreat, plus individualized mentoring and implementation support during fall 2021.
- Teaching in an International Classroom
This series of two one-day online workshops is designed for academics to enhance their intercultural skills and broaden the scope of pedagogical competencies of teaching internationally diverse classrooms. Format: to be held in April and June 2021 (12 hours of training).
