Rules and regulations
In connection with the increasing cases of students failing to comply with the currently valid government regulations despite repeated reprimand from a faculty employee, we would like to remind you of the following facts.
From 13 October 2020, from 00:00 until further notice, all persons are prohibited from moving and staying without respiratory protective equipment (nose, mouth) such as a respirator, facemask, mouthpiece, scarf, shawl or other means that prevent the spread of droplets , inter alia in all interiors of buildings, outside the residence or place of accommodation. The ban therefore applies to all students, employees and other persons in all interiors of the Faculty of Medicine.
Similarly, from 14 October 2020, it is prohibited to stay in public places in groups of more than 6 people.
Compliance with the above-mentioned extraordinary measures is to be checked in the faculty buildings primarily by porters (especially when entering the building), building managers and heads of departments. in the event of a breach of the regulations, the person concerned shall be requested to remedy the situation. In case of disobedience any of the above-mentioned employees has a right to expel this person from the faculty buildings. If the person violating the extraordinary measures fails to fulfill the obligations or voluntarily does not leave the building immediately, the building manager or head of the workplace is obliged to immediately notify the Czech Police or the Municipal Police in Hradec Králové.
For employees, a breach of the obligations set out in extraordinary measures on the faculty premises is considered a breach of work duties and for students a disciplinary offense.
Compliance with extraordinary measures is monitored on the basis of Act No. 243/2020 on the powers of the bodies of the Police of the Czech Republic (PCR) and the Municipal Police, by municipal police officers and officers of the PCR. Violation of extraordinary measures is a misdemeanor under Act No. 250/2016 Coll. on liability for misdemeanors and proceedings concerning them, for which the city police or the PCR may impose a fine of up to CZK 10,000 by an on-the-spot order, or an administrative body in administrative proceedings can impose a fine of up to CZK 20,000.
Our goal is to maintain the operation of study rooms for the purposes of your self-study and preparation for ongoing teaching, but if the current emergency measures continue to be violated in these areas, we will be forced to suspend their operation.
Similarly, the area of the buffet and lunch service is intended only for the consumption of purchased food, not for self-study or other activities exceeding the time necessary for consumption. Staying in this area without protective equipment outside the consumption of purchased food will be considered a violation of the applicable emergency measures.
We therefore ask you again to adhere strictly to all applicable regulations. In cases where these regulations are violated, the above procedure will be followed, including the possible initiation of disciplinary proceedings, the referral of the case to the authorities of the Czech police and the temporary closure of study rooms.
