It focuses on patients with diseases and complications caused by the presence of long-term untreated teeth, wisdom teeth, injuries of dental tissues, jaw bone and soft tissues, nodule diseases and cancer. In many cases, the section works with the Maxillofacial Surgery and Oral Medicine.
The section has a long tradition in the care of the generally ill patients. The spectrum of general illnesses that may complicate stomato-surgical treatment is very broad, and all of these patients require specific treatments for dental procedures. In many cases, close cooperation with specializations from other medical disciplines is necessary.
Within the section of Dentolaveoral Surgery there is also a specialized counseling center for the treatment of diseases of the jaw joint and counseling for maxillofacial surgery. The section is personnelly and spacely related to the Maxillofacial Surgery Section.
