On Wednesday, 20 May 2026, the 72nd annual Student Scientific Conference took place. A total of 21 projects were presented in the section of theoretical and pre-clinical disciplines (A), with the same number presented in the clinical disciplines section (B). Three students participated in the bachelor’s section. The overall quality of the presentations was very high, making the jury’s decision particularly challenging.
In section A, Lukáš Vomastek won with his project Study of Differences Between Adipocytes Derived from Isolated Preadipocytes of Brown and White Mouse Adipose Tissue, carried out at the Department of Physiology, Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Králové, Charles University.
In section B, the award went to Jiří Chalupník for his project Pathological Stage as the Dominant Predictor of Biochemical Recurrence After Robot-Assisted Prostatectomy, prepared at the Department of Urology, Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Králové and University Hospital Hradec Králové.
The best presentation in the bachelor’s section was awarded to Veronika Oudová for her project Care of Venous Access Devices from the Perspective of Nurses in Home Care Agencies.
