The revised 5-year dental curriculum (according to EU directives) is based on the requirements and needs of the modern dental profession. The Dentistry study program is composed of theoretical, preclinical and clinical subjects. However, from the first semester, the students begin preclinical dental work in phantom laboratories and have their first contact with patients as soon as in the third year of study. Our Dentistry graduates are able to perform the full spectrum of dental work without supervision. They are sufficiently trained in clinical practice and possess the relevant manual skills. They do not have to proceed into further licensing or specialized training as in General Medicine (yet they can if they decide to). They have absolute certainty of employment and abundant clientele. Financial security is also an indisputable and attractive benefit of the dental profession.
Particular features of our Dentistry study program:
An adaptation program before the start of the studies.
An extensive volume of preclinical training as well as sessions withpatients.
Intensive practical training – two students per chair during the clinical lessons.
Close supervision and guidance during practical training (the teacher-to-student ratio is 1:2-6).
Teachers are experienced professionals and professors employed at our Department of Dentistry.
Exposure to modern dental technologies and the implementation of new methods based on the latest research.
Employment of digital fabrication methods such as intraoral scanning, CAD/CAM, and 3D printing.
